What is SourceCase?
If you are a C++ developer, SourceCase is the crash reporting solution you've always wanted.
The goal of SourceCase is to give you access to complete and clear stack traces, and all available crash data associated with crashes and faults that your C++ programs come across in production.
With super-simple setup, and the ability to get crash data from stripped and optimized production binaries, without having to ship symbol files to your end-user, you'll find SourceCase to be the perfect solution for your C++ crash reporting needs.
Which platforms does SourceCase support?
SourceCase supports C++ programs written for Windows (32 and 64 bit), Mac OS X (64 bit), and Linux (32 and 64 bit). Pre-built libraries are available for all supported platforms for easy integration with your C++ projects.
Do I need to ship debug builds to my customers to take advantage of crash reporting with stack traces?
No. You can continue to deploy fully-optimized, stripped production binaries to your customers while still taking advantage of crash-reporting with full stack traces and related crash data.
Is SourceCase only for logging crash reports?
The SourceCase API offers several facilities for getting insight into your C++ application in production. In addition to having access to a full stack trace and related data resulting from an unexpected crash, the SourceCase API also allows you to manually send a data snapshot containing the state of your application at any point in the execution of your program. This is really useful for debugging state in production builds.
When will SourceCase launch?
We're scheduled to launch SourceCase later this year. If you'd like to be notified when SourceCase becomes available, please subscribe to the notification list, or follow @sourcecase on Twitter.
